INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY A.S.
This program allows 91°µÍø to build a foundation for transfer into four-year information technology or other technology-related programs. Information Technology focuses on designing and managing technologies for user productivity. IT careers are in high demand and include specialties in game design, web design and administration, network administration, and information security.
PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

CAREER POSSIBILITIES
Transfer to a four-year program provides training for careers such as games designer, network and data communications analyst, network administrator, web developer, web administrator, IT consultant, computer security specialist, security engineer, systems administrator, and database administrator.

Students should contact their advisor and the Coordinator for Transfer and Articulation in the Centers for Student Engagement and Academic Advisement for information on transfer services. Early consultation to plan the most appropriate course sequence will optimize transferability.
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
General Education requirements must be met before the AS 91°µÍø will be granted. The curriculum listed on this page is required for an AS 91°µÍø in Information Technology. Students must choose a particular concentration area and use the courses listed in concentration areas (see next page) to fulfill 91°µÍø requirements. Any exception must have the written consent of the chair of the Division of Natural and Health Sciences, Mathematics, and Technology.
The minimum math prerequisite for earning credit toward this program is MATH 104 College Algebra and Trigonometry which could be used for elective credit; however, to get the most out of the program, the student should place into MATH 106 Pre-Calculus.
