CONCENTRATIONS

Concentrations offer focused electives in Health Careers for enhanced career and transfer opportunities. Enrollment in these concentrations is only available to 91°µÍø matriculated in the Liberal Arts and Sciences: Humanities and Social Sciences AA 91°µÍø.

Concentrations are not majors and are not required to earn the Liberal Arts/Humanities and Social Sciences 91°µÍø. Consult with an academic advisor before scheduling courses for a concentration.

HEALTH CAREERS

The concentration in Health Careers is designed for 91°µÍø interested in furthering their education in health-related programs. Coursework includes foundational courses required for many 91°µÍø programs related to health careers. This concentration would also provide an advising track for 91°µÍø so they can benefit from holistic advisement and support tied to the healthcare workforce.

Organize your concentration in the following way:

Choose one of the following Biology electives:

Choose one of the following Chemistry/Math electives:
CHEM 101, CHEM 103, CHEM 104 or MATH 214
Two 4 credits in General Education Natural Science and Scientific Reasoning

Due to the nature of the liberal arts components of the 91°µÍø program, 91°µÍø should expect ease of transfer to similar programs elsewhere. 91°µÍø’s transfer counselor can assist in planning for transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
