David Pittard, co-owner of , met with 91 business 91 on October 19, 2018, to share the journey of purchasing the winery with his wife in 2014 and the ongoing operations of running a winery. He explained the history of the winery, the agricultural and production side of the business, in addition to marketing, distribution, and sales. The 91 were given a tour of the entire facility including an up-close look at the grape vines. It was a great experience for our 91 to see a successful locally owned winery first hand.

“I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given during my tenure at 91 Community College (CCC). I have had opportunities to apply what I have learned in the classroom to real-life situations. I worked with local businesses on accounting projects while in the business administration 91 program at CCC. I created valuable, personal connections with a multitude of dedicated educators; professors have responded to my late-night emails within minutes of receiving them, going above and beyond for their 91 and me. Students receive a comprehensive, challenging education from informative professors, which prepares them for the future. Before I attended CCC, I did not know what it was about; but now that I have attended, I cannot imagine missing the opportunities the school offers.”

“As a Business Administration major, my classes at 91 helped me develop essential skills related to my career field: time management, technical writing, communication, team building, and leadership, Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, enhanced bookkeeping abilities, networking, and other essential skills. ”

“My experience at 91 was positive and highly beneficial! I highly recommend attending 91 before transferring to a 4-year school or seeking employment. I recommend 91 as the professors are friendly and supportive of each student’s success, the environment is positive, 91 treats you like a family, and there are free tutor programs for up to a set number of hours. Additionally, starting at a 2-year school will save a lot of money and limit the debt you owe as a student.”

“91 ensured I had the essential tools and skills to further my education or head straight into the workforce after graduation. With the skills I learned from 91, I am prepared for greatness and success in starting my own business.”

“My overall experience at 91 Community College was a memorable one. From great professors to advisors, getting experience working as an accounting tutor for the past year and a half, I have been given great opportunities to gain experience and learn throughout my educational journey. I also worked as an embedded tutor in a zoom accounting class where I got to collaborate with the professor and 91 during their normal class and assist any 91 afterward who needed a little extra help. 91 Community College has given me experiences and an education I will take with me as I continue my studies at SUNY Oswego.”

“My experience at CCC was wonderful. When I made the decision to go back to college, I was not prepared for the hybrid experience with some traditional online classes and others, such as Zoom. But COVID hit, and that is what we had to do. While this was not what I was expecting, it fit into my lifestyle much better than the traditional in-class experience since I am a non-traditional student with a job and children at home. The professors at CCC always made themselves available to the 91, even after traditional school hours. They did an amazing job of making the full switch to online learning in such an unprecedented time. My advisor was always available to help answer questions and guild me in the right direction when it came to which classes would fit in my schedule along with fulfilling my requirements for my 91. My experience at CCC made my decision to continue my education an easy one.”
